One of the most popular ways to get more out of your Herbalife shake is to combine Formula 1 with Protein Drink Mix. It’s simple to do, works with any Formula 1 flavour, and gives you a thicker, higher-protein shake that keeps you going for longer between meals.
Here’s how to make it, and which flavours work best together.
Why combine the two?
On its own, Formula 1 makes a quick, tasty shake. Adding a scoop of Protein Drink Mix increases the protein content of that same shake — handy if you’re active, busy, or just want something more substantial. You still only spend a couple of minutes making it. For exact protein and calorie figures, always check the label on your tub, as these vary by flavour and how you make it.
The method
- Pour 250ml of cold water into your shaker or blender (water keeps it lighter than milk).
- Add 2 scoops of your chosen Formula 1 flavour.
- Add 2 scoop of Protein Drink Mix
- Add a handful of ice.
- Shake for 30 seconds or blend for 15, then drink straight away.
Best flavour combinations
Because Protein Drink Mix comes in vanilla, it blends beautifully with almost any Formula 1 flavour. A few favourites:
- Vanilla F1 + Vanilla Protein Mix + frozen banana — creamy and classic.
- Chocolate F1 + Vanilla Protein Mix — tastes like a chocolate milkshake.
- Cookies & Cream F1 + Vanilla Protein Mix — rich and dessert-like.
- Strawberry F1 + Vanilla Protein Mix + ice — light and refreshing.
Tips for the best shake
Use a blender rather than a shaker if you want it really smooth and thick. Frozen fruit or plenty of ice makes a big difference to the texture. And if you’re brand new to this, our 21 Day Challenge Basic Bundle is an easy way to get started with the essentials in one go.
